Privacy Policy

Last updated · June 4, 2026 · Effective · June 4, 2026

This is what we collect, how we use it, and what control you have over it. We have tried to write it in plain English. If anything is unclear, email hello@tracenelabs.com and we will explain.

01 · Who we are

Who we are and what this covers

Tracene Labs LLC (“Tracene Labs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is the data controller for personal information collected through tracenelabs.com and our products and services. We are a limited liability company registered in the State of Wyoming, United States.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over it. We have tried to write it in plain English. If anything is unclear, email hello@tracenelabs.com and we will explain.

02 · What we collect

What information we collect

Information you provide directly

When you fill out our contact form, we collect your name, company (if provided), email address, and the content of your message. When you purchase from us, our payment processor (Lemon Squeezy) collects the information needed to complete and tax the transaction — typically your name, email, billing address, and payment method — and shares limited information with us so we can fulfill your order and provide customer service.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we (and the third-party services we use) automatically collect technical information including your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, time spent on each page, and the actions you take on the Site. This information is collected through cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies.

Marketing-list information

If you opt in to receive marketing emails from us (for example, by checking a consent box at checkout or subscribing to a newsletter), we collect your email address and any preferences you provide. You can unsubscribe at any time through the link in any of our marketing emails or by emailing hello@tracenelabs.com.

03 · How we use it

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  1. Deliver products and services you've purchased — including providing download links, customer support, and order confirmations;
  2. Respond to inquiries you submit through our contact form;
  3. Send transactional emails — receipts, download links, and important service notices;
  4. Send marketing emails — only to people who have explicitly opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time;
  5. Improve our Site and products — by analyzing aggregate, de-identified information about how visitors use the Site;
  6. Comply with legal obligations — such as tax reporting, anti-fraud measures, and responding to lawful government requests;
  7. Protect our rights and the rights of others — for example, by detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms.
04 · Legal bases (EU/UK)

Legal bases for processing

If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your personal information on the following legal bases under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) or UK GDPR:

  1. Contract performance. We process information necessary to deliver a product you've purchased, respond to a contact form inquiry, or otherwise fulfill our contractual obligations to you.
  2. Consent. We process information you've explicitly given us consent to use — most notably, marketing emails. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  3. Legitimate interests. We process some information based on our legitimate interest in operating, improving, and securing our Site and products. For example, we use analytics to understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests by contacting us.
  4. Legal obligation. We process some information to comply with our legal obligations — such as keeping financial records or responding to lawful requests from authorities.
05 · Third parties

Third-party services we use

We work with several third-party services to operate our business. These services act as data processors on our behalf and have their own privacy policies governing their use of personal information.

  • Lemon Squeezy Inc. — payment processor and merchant of record for all transactions on tracenelabs.com. Privacy policy: lemonsqueezy.com/privacy.
  • Hostinger International Ltd. — hosting provider for tracenelabs.com. Privacy policy: hostinger.com/privacy-policy.
  • Formspree (Forma Inc.) — handles submissions from our contact form. Privacy policy: formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.
  • Google LLC — provides Google Analytics 4, which gives us aggregate information about Site usage. We have IP anonymization enabled. Privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Meta Platforms, Inc. — when activated, the Meta Pixel allows us to measure ad performance and reach relevant audiences on Facebook and Instagram. Privacy policy: facebook.com/privacy/policy.
  • LinkedIn Corporation — when activated, the LinkedIn Insight Tag allows us to measure ad performance on LinkedIn. Privacy policy: linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their independent marketing purposes.

06 · Cookies

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies on tracenelabs.com to make the Site work, understand how visitors use it, and (where applicable) measure the performance of advertising campaigns.

Cookies fall into the following categories:

  • Strictly necessary cookies — required for the Site to function (e.g., remembering session state). These are always active.
  • Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics 4 to give us aggregate, de-identified information about Site usage. These help us understand which pages are useful and where visitors get stuck.
  • Marketing cookies — when active, set by Meta Pixel and LinkedIn Insight Tag to measure ad performance and reach relevant audiences. These are inactive on our Site unless and until we run paid advertising campaigns on those platforms.

Cookie controls. Where we have implemented a cookie consent banner on the Site, you can manage your preferences there. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling certain cookies may affect Site functionality.

07 · Retention

How long we keep your information

We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. Specifically:

  1. Contact form submissions are retained for up to 24 months after your last interaction with us, then deleted unless we have a continuing business relationship with you;
  2. Purchase records are retained for as long as required by tax and accounting laws — typically 7 years in the United States;
  3. Marketing email lists retain your information as long as you remain subscribed. Once you unsubscribe, we retain a minimal record of your unsubscribe to honor your preference.

You can request earlier deletion at any time — see Section 09.

08 · International

International data transfers

We are based in the United States, and most of our third-party services (Lemon Squeezy, Google, Meta, LinkedIn) are also U.S.-based. If you are located outside the United States, your personal information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States.

For transfers from the EU/UK to the U.S., we and our processors rely on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission and equivalent UK transfer mechanisms, where applicable, to ensure that your personal information receives appropriate protection.

09 · Your rights

Your rights over your information

Depending on where you live, you have certain rights regarding your personal information. We honor these rights for all customers, not just those in jurisdictions where they are legally required:

  1. Access — you can ask us what personal information we hold about you;
  2. Correction — you can ask us to correct inaccurate information;
  3. Deletion — you can ask us to delete your personal information, subject to limitations where we are legally required to retain it (e.g., tax records);
  4. Portability — you can ask us for a copy of your personal information in a structured, commonly used format;
  5. Objection — you can object to certain uses of your personal information, including direct marketing;
  6. Withdrawal of consent — where we process information based on your consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time;
  7. Restriction — you can ask us to restrict processing in certain circumstances.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@tracenelabs.com. We will respond within thirty (30) days. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.

Right to complain

If you are located in the EU/UK/Switzerland and you believe we have not handled your personal information in accordance with applicable law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first — please contact us at hello@tracenelabs.com.

10 · California

California residents

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) give you specific rights, including the rights described in Section 09 above. In addition:

You have the right to know what categories of personal information we collect, the sources of that information, and the categories of third parties we share it with. This Privacy Policy describes all of those.

You have the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information. We do not sell your personal information in the traditional sense, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising without explicit opt-in.

You have the right to non-discrimination — we will not deny you services, charge you different prices, or provide a lower-quality experience because you exercised your privacy rights.

To exercise California rights, email hello@tracenelabs.com with “California privacy request” in the subject line.

11 · Marketing

Marketing communications

We send two types of email:

Transactional emails

These include order receipts, download links, password resets (if applicable), and important notices about your purchase or account. You cannot opt out of transactional emails while you have an active relationship with us — they are required to provide the service you bought.

Marketing emails

These include occasional product launches, content updates, and news from Tracene Labs. We send marketing emails only to people who have explicitly opted in (e.g., by checking a consent box at checkout or subscribing through our Site). You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link at the bottom of any marketing email, or by emailing hello@tracenelabs.com.

We do not send unsolicited bulk email.

12 · Children

Children's privacy

Our Site and products are not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@tracenelabs.com and we will delete it.

13 · Changes

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, services, or legal obligations. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top and, where appropriate, provide additional notice (such as a banner on the Site or an email to affected users).

We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
